I am about to receive multiple requests for the wedding photo sessions, and maybe I am going to be a Nantucket wedding photographer? Sure thing! So not even on Cape, because I do love to travel and always open to the discussion. Each wedding is a truly unique experience, and my goal is to receive as much as I can.
Talking to my colleagues (Hi there!) and discussing venues, locations, and ideas, I’ve realized that it might be helpful to write an additional article about comparing options and doing the photo session like engagement, wedding, or a separate wedding romantic session on the other day.
If you are looking for a unique location, especially not in the high season – A wedding or elopement on Nantucket is right for you. Coble stones streets, sights, lighthouses, and classical architecture with almost no people! So why not travel there for the photo session? Last year I visited Martha’s Vineyard in the winter and still under the impression of the locations. Check the photos out and order prints or frames online.
Cape Cod is huge, with all advantages: multiple venues for any budget, sights, lighthouses, and even more. Let’s talk about Nantucket.
The main thought From Cape Cod and Nantucket photographer:
More affordable on the Isle: Engagement session, Elopepements;
Less affordable: Weddings or rehearsal dinners;
Pros: Nantucket vibes, unforgettable memories, unique photos, prestigious location, gorgeous views
Cons: Nantucket’s prices are higher comparing with the average on Cape and Cape Cod Luxury Venues, extra spending on food, accommodation, traveling, transportation like Uber, Lyft, etc.
Cape Cod: all above + no travel fees and tickets.
Risks: Stuck on the Nantucket/Cape Cod and waiting for a ferry. It lies thirty miles out to the sea of Cape Cod’s coast.
