Hey, if you open this post, you are reading New England’s wedding and Engagement photographers blog. Today’s photos were taken at Castle Hill Lighthouse in Rhode Island. As a Cape Cod and Boston Wedding photographer, I love to travel by New England and beyond, knowing many cool/spectacular places for taking photos. Take a look at Castle Hill Lighthouse – Newport Engagement gallery.
Katherine was one of the bridesmaids at her best friend’s wedding in Cape. She booked me for her wedding in OceanCliff for almost two years before the event. Sometimes, memorizing this engagement session, the process of taking the photos brings me to the situation when I want to start photographing their wedding immediately. It’s hard to be patient until summer 2021! Castle Hill Lighthouse – Newport Engagement – we picked the place because of the romantic view, and this is the closest point to their wedding venue.
During the photoshoot we had a lot of fun, you can notice that in the photos. Enjoy!
The Lighthouse is located on Narragansett Bay in Newport, RI, at the end of Ocean Drive. It is an active navigation aid between Conanicut Island and Aquidneck Island. The lighthouse was built in 1890 on property belonging to the naturalist and oceanographer Alexander Agassiz of Harvard University. Agassiz sold the land to the United States Government for the lighthouse for $1. His mansion on the property is now an inn.
After completing the session and walking to the parking lot, we were amazed by the sunset, and the colors changed so fast. The sky was full of warm and different shades. We did a few more photos.
Feel free to reach out if you want to book me for almost any type of the photosession, your Newport wedding, and Engagement photographer – Alex Gordias.
