A Quiet Morning by the Shore
Julia and Robbie’s wedding day began with a slow, quiet morning at a private home near North Kingstown Town Beach. Surrounded by water and the soft, early light, the house felt less like a venue and more like a sanctuary—the perfect place to settle in before the day unfolded.
Wind and Waves at Beavertail
The couple met for their first look at the Beavertail State Park, a spot defined by its jagged rocks and the raw energy of the Atlantic. The wind was constant, catching Julia’s dress and adding a sense of movement to their first few moments together. Against the backdrop of the historic lighthouse and the crashing surf, the setting felt both dramatic and deeply timeless.
The Texture of the Coast
After the lighthouse, the celebration moved back toward the shoreline near North Kingstown Town Beach. We spent time wandering the sand and the rocky outcrops, capturing portraits that felt as natural as the landscape itself. By using a mix of digital and traditional film, we were able to lean into the soft, grainy textures and muted colors that only ocean light seems to produce.
A Newport Beginning
The festivities actually kicked off the night before at the New York Yacht Club in Newport. It was a classic introduction to the weekend—steeped in sailing history and waterfront views. It allowed everyone to relax and settle into the New England atmosphere before the more intimate, personal ceremony the following day.
An Intimate North Kingstown Celebration
There is a specific kind of magic in a wedding held at a private residence. For Julia and Robbie, it meant their wedding wasn’t just an event, but a reflection of their own history with the coast.
