Welcome to the Cape Cod Wedding Photographer blog! My name is Alex, and today I am thrilled to share the beautiful Dennis Inn wedding of Abby and Patrick.
My journey with Abby and Patrick started nearly two years ago in Boston. From our very first meeting, their enthusiasm and classic vision for their Cape Cod celebration were incredibly inspiring. They chose The Dennis Inn for their reception—a venue I frequently recommend for its timeless charm. The rooms are bathed in natural light, which is a dream for photography, and the layout is exceptionally versatile for both an energetic dance floor and an intimate cocktail hour.
The ceremony was held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, a location with deep sentimental roots, as Abby’s grandmother was married there decades ago. We planned two distinct “first looks”: a sweet reveal with the bridesmaids and a private, emotional moment between Abby and Patrick at the church before the ceremony began.
Following the “I dos,” we headed to Mayflower Beach for golden hour portraits. The coastal light on Cape Cod never disappoints, providing the perfect romantic backdrop for the bridal party and the newlyweds.

“Our wedding on October 19 was a perfect, crisp fall day—it truly was a dream come true! Holding our ceremony in the same church where my grandmother married felt incredibly special. Our reception was near Chapin’s Beach, a place close to my heart from childhood. Our wedding was intimate, elegant, and timelessly classic. We celebrated under a white tent adorned with twinkle lights, enjoyed an oyster bar, and danced the night away to an 8-piece band inside the Inn. It was the best day of our lives.”
