Essex County Club Wedding – Cam and Lea
Some weddings feel like the last breath of summer — warm air, quiet skies, and the kind of light that makes every color softer. Cam and Lea’s Essex County Club wedding carried that feeling from start to finish, a day shaped by laughter, wind, and the stillness of coastal Massachusetts.
The morning began in Manchester-by-the-Sea, where preparations gave way to anticipation. Their first look took place at Tucks Point, a place where the harbor stretches open and boats drift easily with the tide. It’s one of those rare spots where the scenery does half the storytelling — water shimmering, trees lifting in the wind, and the air full of salt and calm.
After portraits with the wedding party, we headed to the Essex County Club. Its lawns and terraces were washed in afternoon light, framed by the kind of timeless New England architecture that feels familiar and refined. The ceremony unfolded outdoors, with guests gathered beneath soft skies and a gentle breeze passing through the trees.

My approach
As a digital and film photographer, I love the way Essex County Club translates into both mediums. The film softens its greens and whites into something nostalgic, while digital captures the sharp geometry of its fairways and stone paths. The balance of the two mirrors the day itself — structured yet effortless, elegant without pretense.
The reception carried into the evening, full of movement and music. Inside, warm light filled the room as guests danced, toasted, and drifted between the bar and terrace. Outside, the sun fell behind the horizon, leaving the club and its guests surrounded by the quiet rhythm of late summer.

Why Essex County Club
Founded in 1893, Essex County Club is one of Massachusetts’ oldest and most iconic venues, known for its rolling greens, Georgian-style clubhouse, and understated elegance. Weddings here feel naturally classic — the kind of setting that needs little more than good weather and good company. For photography, it offers endless variation in light, shade, and landscape.
Conclusion
Cam and Lea’s wedding was a portrait of coastal New England at its most graceful — grounded, timeless, and full of heart. Every part of the day, from Tucks Point to the final dance, reflected who they are: calm, genuine, and deeply connected to the place they chose to celebrate.
