Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Alex Gordias. I am a Cape Cod wedding photographer who works year-round all over New England and across the US. Today’s post is about a special Harvard Business School engagement session—which was actually a surprise proposal!
Let’s review Harvard Business School Engagement Session.
Preston and I brainstormed ideas for the perfect proposal and landed on Harvard Business School. It is a spectacular location that remains relatively quiet during the summer while offering those classic, iconic New England vibes. Since the couple was planning a move out of Massachusetts to a different state, it was important to capture these memories at such a landmark Boston location.
Take a look at the gallery below. This Harvard Business School session has become one of my favorite “masterpieces”—blending an elegant fine-art style with authentic photojournalism at the moment of the proposal. Their puppy, Bobo, was an absolute star and helped us capture even more sweet, candid memories.

We chose the Baker Library/Bloomberg Center as the starting point for the proposal. Fun fact: beyond being a beautiful architectural landmark, Harvard Business School (HBS) is consistently ranked as one of the top business schools in the world.

Congratulations to Preston and Lydia on their beautiful engagement! Whether you are looking for an engagement session, a surprise proposal, or a family session, I am always open to exploring new locations. Please reach out to me if you are looking for a photographer to schedule a meeting or phone call.
If you are considering hiring a Boston wedding photographer for your event in New England, I would be happy to help. I offer no travel fees throughout New England.
