There’s something undeniably romantic about Newport — the historic charm, the sailboats in the harbor, the golden light that pours through the cobblestone streets as the sun sets. As a Newport wedding photographer, I love working all over New England — from Cape Cod to Boston — but Newport always has a special place in my heart. It’s a blend of elegance and coastal energy that makes every session feel cinematic. Here I’d like to share some Newport Engagement Photos of Megan and Jared
For the engagement session, we started in downtown Newport just as the sun began to dip below the horizon. The light was perfect — soft, warm, and full of texture. Walking along the cobblestone streets, every corner offered a beautiful backdrop, whether framed by ivy-covered buildings or historic brickwork glowing in the dusk. I photographed their session in both digital and film to fully capture the feeling of the moment.
After exploring the town, we took the experience to the next level with a private cruise on the M/Y Temma from Newport Yacht Charter & Tours. There’s something magical about shooting on the water — wind in their hair, the coastline drifting behind us, and that soft, fading sunset turning the bay into gold. It was peaceful, joyful, and felt exactly like them.
Megan and Jared are the kind of couple that make you love your job even more — relaxed, connected, and full of laughter. Their chemistry was effortless, and photographing them felt more like hanging out with friends than work.
I’m beyond excited to photograph their wedding at Glen Manor House in 2025 — one of Rhode Island’s most iconic and romantic venues. The riverside setting and elegant architecture are the perfect match for their style, and I already know it’s going to be an unforgettable day.
Whether it’s a stroll through downtown, a sail along the coast, or a film-inspired shoot on the cliffs, Newport engagement photos always hold something unique. If you’re planning your engagement or wedding in Newport, I’d love to hear your story and help capture it in a way that feels true to you.
