Hyannis Port Yacht Club Engagement Session captured by Alex Gordias Photography – Cape Cod wedding and engagement photographer.

The evening began where the sand meets the quiet edge of Hyannis Port — a small curve of beach just steps from the Kennedy compound. The light was still soft, drifting in and out of clouds the way it does before golden hour commits to the sky. Chelsea and Chris settled into the moment almost immediately, the kind of ease that makes a session feel less like posing and more like walking with two people who know exactly how to be together.

We worked along the beach first, the tide low enough to leave long stretches of reflective sand. From there, the jetty pulled us in — the stones warm from the sun, the wind moving through their hair, the ocean shifting colors by the minute. It’s a place where you can feel the Cape’s history and its calm at the same time, both of which always find their way into the photographs.

As the sun dropped closer to the horizon, we made our way toward the Hyannis Port Yacht Club. The light opened up — that perfect golden hour where everything feels suspended for a few minutes. They walked along the docks, the harbor behind them turning to gold, then rose, then something close to violet.

Conclusion

And then the moon rose. Big, clear, and unexpectedly bold for that hour. It hovered above the water like a final chapter the day had been holding onto. Chelsea and Chris stood at the edge of the dock, the sunset on one side, the moon on the other — the kind of moment that doesn’t need direction. Just presence.

The session closed there: the docks, the light, the water shifting between two colors, and Chelsea and Chris standing in the middle of it all. Simple. Real. Beautifully timed.
